Opening Act

  • Stacy
  • Waris
  • Alif Satar

Is it Stacy’s concert? 🤔

1. Syamel- Lebih Sempurna

-cold. He sang without feel.

2. Azmi CB- Sejati

-started off with a pantomime. But i compared too much with Faizal Tahir which is wayyyy better.

3. Hazama- Aku yg Sebenar

-awesome performance but a bit disappointed with his nasal voice.

4. Wany Hasrita- menahan rindu

-another pantomime. Shes not letting all her voice out.

5. Hael Husaini-Jampi

– perfect execution. Definitely top3

6. Salma- akhirnya cinta

– she hit the high notes perfectly. But the song is not so pleasing.

7. Dayang Nurfaizah – separuh mati ku bercinta

– vocal 😍😍😍. But the song is not so powerful

8. Ernie zakry& syamel. Aku cinta

– good start. But the combo is a bit lopsided coz syamel is loud. Ernie is Soprano!!!

9. Altimet – Amboi

– different kind of song. Persembahan terbaik

10. Ara Johari – Warkah Untukmu

– she had voice sore but she went on. Credits should be given.

11. Bayang – Khai Bahar

– vocal imperfect. Some notes were awful.

12. Haqiem Rusli – Tergantung Sepi

– not enough experience in performing. Too bad.

My choice

Best Vocal: Syamel & Ernie

Best Performance: Altimet

Juara Lagu

  1. Aku Cinta: Syamel & Ernie
  2. Jampi: Hael Husaini
  3. Aku Yang Sebenar: Hazama

Day 8: Back to Basic

Posted: September 27, 2017 in Uncategorized

This would be the last entry for our Seoul trip. It is a gloomy day, with drizzles in the horizon. Grumpiness overwhelmed me as i learnt that my travel mates left me behind on our quest for farfetch’d. And me, being competetive as i am, wouldnt want them to have more than me. I organized the trip from A-Z, they have not a single valid reason to leave me behind or at least bring my phone along.

No valid reason at all!

The only reason that i can think of is that i always get left behind in our previous trips (one that i can think of is Bukit Merah Laketown Resort) and therefore leaving me behind again this time would be ok. B*llocks!

We took the train from Myeongdong amd transit at Seoul Station and went through more than 30 stations to get to the airport. We began the journey at 0625 and realized that incheon station and incheon international airport are two separate entities.

So, we embarked off the subway and  realized that we were on Dongincheon station. We took a taxi instead.

Train = 1850

Taxi = 26000

Toll = 5500

Reached airport at 0832 and settled check in and immigration by 0950.

Day 7: Around Seoul

Posted: September 27, 2017 in Uncategorized

After our usual guesthouse breakfast, we headed to Exit 2 Myeongdong Station to catch the hop on hop off bus. Although the itinerary mentioned that the bus starts at 0900, it will only reach myeongdong by 0945. So we took a detour and walked to Hanok village.

We took the hop on hop off bus nearby Hanok Village. To our dismay, the online info which mentioned it is 12000 is inaccurate. (Dont know whether it will be that price online) but we paid 15000. Because i paid more than i should, i tend to get cranky because the I have the paranoia of the Koreans using their language barrier to get away from explaining things. They just make a dumbfounded face and we have to pay whatever the sum they showed. We didn’t want to argue further but the other downside of their hop on hop off bus is…

  1. Too many skyscrapers to have a good view
  2. Patchy info
  3. Congested traffic
  4. Not even a double decker!

There. At least my frustration is off. Back to the sceneries.

From Hanok village, we stop at Namsan Seoul Tower at 1035 and left at 1105.

Next stop is supposedly the Gyeongbokgung palace. Unfortunately it is closed every Tuesdays.

We managed to capture several scenic places from the hop on hop off bus.
We decided to stop 2 more places for shopping inclusive of Namdaemun Market and Dongdaemun Market.

I bought lots here.

Fridge magnet = 3000 for 9 pieces

Kimchi = 10000 for 700g

Seaweed = 15000 for 20

We ate Kebab Adnan for 4500 and drinks.

We headed home first via bus for prayers and to put the bought items away and headed to Dongdaemun.

To our dismay, most parts of Dongdaemun is closed. Then we went to myeongdong for street food.

We ended our day packing for the next day.

Day 6: Everland

Posted: September 26, 2017 in Uncategorized

We started our journey today with a light breakfast and left the guesthouse at 0820. The shuttle bus to everland was supposed to be at 0940 at exit 2 Myeongdong station.

The bus departed at 0930. Lucky we made it in time as we did our early morning exercise jogging for our second farfetchd. It despawned. 😩 as compensation, we raided Alakazam instead.

We reached at 0910. And the park one bus shuttle = 10 minutes later.

Ticket + bus = 47000

We went straight to te highlight of everland. The T-express. However it opens at 1300.

So we went to these attractions

  1.  VR House (40000)
  2. Secret Mission
  3. Rotating House
  4. Mystery Mansion
  5. T Express!!!
  6. Musolla under Mystery Mansion
  7. Skyway
  8. Let’s Twist

We break for lunch at Burger Cafe. So far pork free in the menu, so we ate shrimp burger as highlighted by previous bloggers. Yummeh!!!

Shrimp burger = 7800

We continued with a few more rides before heading home

  1. Championship rodeo
  2. Le Bao adventure

And we caught 3 farfetchd!!!

We headed back to catch the 1830 bus which departed at 1847 and arrived at 1942. I bought banana milk and coffee milk.

We Refreshed ourselves awhile at our guesthouse and immediately headed straight to itaewon.

That’s the horrifying T Express ride!

Train to itaewon = 1250

The Makan restaurant is highly recommended. Relatively cheap and the meal as well as banchan are delish!! With a full tummy we head back to the guesthouse and zzz 😘.

Day 5: Nami Island

Posted: September 25, 2017 in Uncategorized

We started our day a bit late today. Mainly because there is only one bathroom shared by 5 and we had breakfast at the guesthouse. They provides cereal and milk as well as bread and jam. The trip to Nami is a complicated one.

Myeongdong – Yongsan

Train = 1250

Then change to KTX train

Ktx Train Yongsan – Gapyong

Train = 5200

The train schedule is every 30 minutes. We missed the 0900 train because we didnt know initially that we need to book a ticket. (Online, was told to be priced at 4800 instead). We reached the destination at 1028 (98 minutes).

Then, we acquired a bus shuttle to the wharf.

Bus ticket = 6000 (hop on hop off to multiple touristy areas in Gapyeong)

We reached the wharf at 1100. We went for lunch at kko kko chicken dakgalbi for a scrumptuous meal for  3.

Lunch = 7000

We queued to Nami island. We opted the zip line to go and ferry back. But we made a mistake. We thought no one would take the zipline, but when we were done with lunch, the next zip line ride is at 1400. Urghh. 1 hour plus wait. 🤷🏻‍♂️ we shouldve bought the ticket and set our time before going for lunch.

Zipline + admission fee + return ferry = 38000

While waiting, we had ice cream and cake at a nearby cafe.

At 1400, it was our turn to face our fate on the zip wire

It was a fastest way to Nami from Gapyeong. It looks scary, falling from 80 metres height, but surprisingly it was a pleasant ride.

Then we were greeted by the picturesque Nami. I bought the Nami currency for 1000 won. Our time there were limited to make way for petit france.

Before we embark the ferry to leave Nami, we perform prayers and had dessert of pancake and coffee.

We rushed to the bus station and went to the petite france. We arrived at 1735 and since it will close at 1800, we only took pictures of the entrance 😂 and headed back to Gapyong Station.

We opted not to take the KTX back because there were no more seats left. So we use the train instead which is sooooo much cheaper but longer duration.

Train 1250+ 1100.

We started at 1908 and reached our destination noryangjin 2118. (130 minutes)

We walked a tad bit to the wet market and was greeted by an array of sea creatures.

Our birthday boy opted octopus sashimi and a king crab as his bday treat.

Octopus = 2000 (10000 for 4 units)

King crab = 19000 (total 95000)

Service = 5000

And we ended the night with a full tummy. Fortunately the train back to Myeongdong is not as complicated.

Train = 1250

Top-up T-money = 3000
